C.I Precious Paws Ltd is a Guernsey-based, family run, pet transportation company. The company is owned and operated by Louise Simmons. Louise has vast knowledge and experience having qualified as a Veterinary Nurse 20 years ago and has over 35 years of experience in pet ownership and in particular, dog showing to championship show level.
Services
Our services include pet transportation between the Channel Islands and the UK, on-island pet taxi service and medical transfer to UK animal hospitals. We are currently working very hard to achieve DEFRA Type-2 Authorised licensing, which will mean that we will be the only DEFRA Type-2 Authorised Transporter of small animals by road in the Channel Islands. (We are expecting confirmation of this in the next few weeks). This is the highest level of licensing issued by the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) on behalf of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) in the UK, which means we have undergone stringent animal welfare checks and met all requirements to safely transport animals on long journeys (over 12 hours if required). We also work closely with the States Veterinary Officers in Guernsey and Jersey to ensure all licensing requirements are met for pets to be transported in an out of the Channel Islands.
Highest standard of care
Our highest priority is animal welfare and offer the highest standard of transport for your pets. We will be licensed to transport ‘other species’ (dogs, cats, small animals and racing pigeons). Our custom-converted transport vehicle is professionally fitted with spacious cages of all sizes. Fitted with a state-of-the-art temperature-controlled and monitored air conditioning and ventilation system, CCTV and GPS tracking. You can be reassured that your pets are closely monitored at all times. The vehicle is also fitted with a refrigerator; enabling us to safely carry food and medications.
