This service is designed for the transportation of pets between the Channel Islands and the UK.

You may require collection of a new member of the family from a breeder or rehoming centre and have found that there are limited options for pet travel between the Channel Islands and the UK. Take the stress out of arranging travel by choosing C.I Precious Paws Limited.

C.I Precious Paws Limited is a Guernsey-based pet transportation company. We are DEFRA Type-2 transporter authorised, which is the highest level of UK licensing. We are proud to be the only pet transporter based in the Channel Islands to have this licensing. We are able to offer transport in a professionally custom-built vehicle which is fully insulated, has a state-of-the-art temperature-controlled air conditioning system and ventilation system built in. We offer different sizes of accommodation for different pets. We are able to transport dogs of all sizes (including large breeds), cats, rabbits, guineapigs, ferrets etc. You can be reassured that your pet will travel comfortably and safely in all weather conditions. With the addition of an on-board refrigerator, we are also able to safely carry medications and food, as required. The vehicle is well equipped with CCTV cameras and temperature monitoring which means that your pet is constantly monitored, even when on the ferry. GPS tracking also means that you can see where your pet is at every step of the journey. We run a regular collection and delivery service to and from the Channel Islands via the ferry every couple of weeks. We are also able to offer pet transportation by air between the UK, Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney. This is mainly via Southampton Airport. We are able to either meet your puppy or kitten at the airport or collect from any address across the UK. We then accompany your new family member through the checking in, security and boarding processes. We provide safe transport in our own range of IATA approved travel crates and make all travel arrangements on your behalf.

C.I Precious Paws is fully RQF qualified, Defra Type-2 licensed (for short and long journeys) and fully insured up to £5,000,000. We are members of PIF (Pet Industry Federation). PIF supports businesses in the pet industry to operate at a high standard.

Animal welfare is a high priority for us. We work closely with the local team of States Veterinary Officers’ and the GSPCA to ensure that we provide the highest standard of transportation for pets in our care. We strive to ensure that the pets we collect are healthy and sourced from reputable breeders/rescue centres with similar standards of care to our own.  We will scan your pet for a microchip and check this information against documentation provided to us. If there is any detail on collection that we are not comfortable with, then we will communicate this with you immediately.

We highly recommend that you undertake detailed research into where you are sourcing your pet from. Some helpful guidance can be found on our ‘links’ page.
